Stamping

Stamping is another simple way to decorate chipboard. There  are several ways to use stamps and ink.

1. Direct to paper. To do this technique, you just apply the ink

pad to the chipboard letter or shape. Use two different colors  and edge the letter or shape to get a nice finish.

The chipboard letter below has been inked directly with an      ink pad.

2. Embossing. This involves stamping an image on your chipboard shape or letter and covering it with embossing powder. You heat the embossing powder with a heat gun until

it melts. The finish is shiny and raised. On this chipboard letter an ink pad was rubbed over the entire chipboard letter. The ink was then rubbed off to reveal the white underneath.

The embossing powder used is from Stampendous. It is a

clear, detail embossing powder.

3. Stamps. Press the stamp into ink and apply to the chipboard letter or shape. This technique creates great backgrounds. It is like making your own custom patterned paper!
